Yes, you will be able to merge workstations using the reconcile option in the OnDemand application. Please goto the workstations list view page, click Actions-->Reconcile workstation.

In order to prevent asset duplication, there are 3 condition which needs to be satisfied. If the workstation name or Service Tag or MAC address doesn't match for the workstations that are already present in the application, then a new asset will be automatically created during a scan or import. Please make sure either one condition matches, so that there won't be any duplicates.
